HI has been present in the Middle East since 1987 through its Development Department. HI started from early April 2012 a new project at the regional level aiming at the recognition and respect of the rights of PwD by the authorities and institutions, through the reinforcement of the Disabled People’s Organisations (DPO) and the disability movement at large. In Lebanon, in addition to the regional project, HI has been implemented a project aiming at improving the access to mental health rehabilitation services for the children with psychological distress living in the Palestinian camps. At last, in 2010, HI established the only humanitarian demining capacity in northern Lebanon (Batroun Region) Action Center (LMAC) in achieving its goal of making Lebanon mine impact free by 2020.
ACCOUNATBILITIE S

You will be responsible for the superivsion of: N/A
General objective of the position:
The Data Officer is responsible for the data entry, the data analysis and the quality of all data for the DVFP(disability and vulnerability focal point) projects in Mafraq.
Tasks and responsibilitie s:
1. Ensure that the beneficiary files are complete and well completed by the field team
a. Participate in the field teams’ training about the data collection on the field
b. Check all the files that are coming to the database, and make some recommendations on the completion
c. Ensure the field follow up tools (forms, donation certificates, etc…) are appropriate for entry in the different follow up tools
2. Compile all data entry from the assessment forms to follow up forms until discharge certificate in one data base and ensure the quality of the data entered
a. Propose improvements of the data base and follow up tools and ensure the adaption of the assessment forms and different follow up forms as needed
b. Ensure adaption of the Data Base according to the project’s needs
c. Regularly participate in the identification of the most vulnerable people and of the assessment of their needs in order to monitor the data collection done by the different field teams
3. Analyze data according to the Project Manager’s requests
a. Provide relevant analysis of the collected data and produce information on project’s outputs, outcomes and impacts
b. Generate comprehensive data for reporting on key variables
c. Generate comprehensive quantitative data on activities using the different follow up tools
d. Demonstrate willingness to improve professional competences and to adapt to the field and project’s needs in terms of data collection and analysis.
4. In charge of filling the files when the file is complete
a. Ensure that all the appropriate documents in the beneficiary file are available
b. Ensure that all the documents are correctly filed
5. Reporting and meetings
a. Monthly report required or upon request
b. Bi-weekly coordination meetings or upon request
THE CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS
At least 1 year experience in dataentry and data analysis.
Languages: Arabic and English required
Computer skills: especially in excel and microsoft office.
Personal qualities & soft skills: hard worker, ability to work under pressure, quick learner.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Bachelor degree or diploma in computer science, IT or any related field.
CONTRACT CONDITIONS
Period of employment: 4 months with possibility of extension
Starting date: ASAP
The salary will be defined according to HI salary scale.
